The company, with registered office address in Madrid, Spain, is a formerly public quoted firm engaged in the construction, maintenance and toll-based exploitation of highway concessions in Spain and Chile. It was incorporated in November of 1967. The company owns concessions the construction of the A-6 Villalba-Adanero toll motorway which follows a path through Madrid, Segovia and Avila. The concession on this toll operation expires in 2018. In October 2000 The Chilean Ruta 5 Los Vilos-La Serena motorway was officially inaugurated and is operated by the subsidiary company GESA. In 2001 the company started the construction of two section: Segovia-A6 and Avila A-6. The second and third A6 lane and Third Guadarrama's tunnel are under construction as well.
