The company, incorporated in November 1988, is engage in the management of the network's advertising resources for itself and for Grupo Telecinco. It was created under the aegis of the Italian group Mediaset, which is one of Italy's largest media operators, in 1989 as a sales network for advertising space. Since 1993 the company has held exclusive dealership rights to advertising on leading Spanish television broadcaster, Grupo Telecinco. Its revenues are obtained from both the sale of conventional sports and alternative television advertising formats -Iniciativas Especiales- as well as from the revenues of its subsidiary, Publimedia Gestión. Publimedia Gestión is dedicated to commercialising various multimedia products belonging to Grupo Telecinco and others. Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, Publiespaña SA is a leading company on the Spanish advertising market.
