The company was formed in April of 1935. Its registered office is located in Barcelona, Spain. The company is the junior partner in a joint venture with Germany's Eckes Granini International, the leading fruit juice company in Europe. It acquired a 49 percent stake in Granini Iberica in 2003; the remaining 51 percent remained with Eckes Granini. Granini Iberica, which has a production facility in Catalonia, owns the licence to produce and distribute Granini brand fruit juices in Spain and Andorra. Granini Iberica's well-known brands - namely Granini, Hohes C, Joker, Réa, Sió, Clippo, Marli, Mehukatti and YO - are sold throughout Spain through the major retail chains and the hotel-restaurant-catering sector. The company's partnership with Eckes Granini is designed to boost sales of Granini fruit juices and nectars in Spain. Eckes-Granini also aimed to be the leading fruit juice producer in every market with the assistance of the company. The company is a subsidiary of S.A. Damm, which is the third largest brewer in Spain behind Heineken-owned Cruzcampo and San Miguel. Damm is the producer of main brands Estrella Damm, Voll Damm, Estrella del Sur, Estrella de Levante, Keler and Budwseiser.
