The company is engaged in the operation of museums and art galleries. The company was incorporated in 1996. The registered head office of the company is located in Dos Hermanas, Spain. The company displays a wide variety of arts, such as Duccio, Van Eyck, Carpaccio, Lucas Cranach, Dürer, Caravaggio, Rubens, Frans Hals, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kirchner, Mondrian, Klee, and Hopper, Rauschenberg. The company's museum houses two collections from the Thyssen-Bornemisza collector-lineage: the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, acquired by the Spanish government from Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza in 1993 and on permanent display since the museum opened in 1992; and the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, owned by the baron's widow and held in deposit by the museum since 2004. These two collections comprise almost one thousand works of art, most of them paintings, with which the museum offers a stroll down the history of European painting, from its beginning in the 13th century to the close of the 20th century.
