The company, with registered office in Madrid, Spain, is engaged in the manufacture of renewable energy equipments. The company started business in 1940 as a manufacturer of electrical components. It is a leading company in the field of renewable energy in Spain. The company's activities are focused on designing and manufacturing aerogenerators and solar collectors at two work centers: the Medina del Campo factory (Valladolid) which has approximately 75,000 square meter and the office in Madrid, where most of the wind department is based - both the commercial side and research and development. The company is also active in China, where it has a factory in Louyang region in a joint venture with the Yitou industrial group. The company's projects include the Tarazona Sur wind farm in Tarazona (Aragon, northern Spain) under a turnkey contract with the owner of the project, Elecdey Tarazona, S.A., that provides 12 of its 800 kW AE-52 generators, each on a 60 meter tall tower, and built the rest of the wind farm facilities and infrastructure, including a 66/20 kV substation. The company also constructed the Pico Gallo wind farm, the first one in the Spanish region of Asturias (northern Spain), with an installed capacity of 24.4 MW.
