The company is a banking association that represents that interest of the savings bank, foundations and banks created by the savings banks. The company was founded in the year 1928 at the initiative of Federacion de Cajas de Ahorros Vasco-Navarras (The Basque-Navarre Federation of Savings Banks) to combine the efforts of all its members and represent them in different forums. The ocmpany has its registered head office in Madrid, Spain. The company’s strategic goal is to strengthen the position of its members (savings banks, foundations and banks created by the savings banks), within the Spanish and international financial system, from the point of view of both their financial activity and their social work and social responsibility. The company acts as a forum of strategic reflection for all its members and undertakes to publicize and defend their interests, provide counseling and foster the important mission they are to perform in society. As a banking association, the company represents two types of institution: institutions engaged in financial activities (the banks of savings banks and any savings banks directly performing financial services); and foundations and savings banks indirectly providing financial services.
