It is the European leader in Steel Service Centres and is becoming bigger in Latin America. The company is engaged in buying, storage, cutting and wholesale of steel products, mainly flat rolled metal. It leads, for its part, the automotive stamping sector in Europe. This leadership strategy is based on product and service development higher added value which allow for developing closer relations with its main customers in the automotive industry and industry in general. It has consolidated its leadership as the most important Service Centre in Spain and in Europe, with a strong introduction also in Brazil. The company has a strong presence in both Western and Eastern Europe, with plants in which added value processes are carried out that convert steel into a product adapted to any need that its customers may put to them. Furthermore, the company is present in Africa with a plant in Morocco. The company has two plants in Brazil, (Curitiba and Campinas) and one in Poland. The company was founded in 1958 by four friends with the surnames of González, Varela, Ruiz and Riberas as a company dedicated to the buying and selling of iron and steel products, together with the selling of tin and piano strings.
