It has its headquarters in Madrid, Spain. The company is a subsidiary of Sweden-based Capio Group. The company was incorporated in 2004. As of September 2006, one of the company's operating subsidiary Capio Sanidad S.L, headquartered in Madrid, is the Spanish leading company in the provision of sanitary services, through a network of 22 centers in eight independent communities. It operates hospitals that covers all the medical specialties and emphasizes in the diagnosis of cardiovascular and oncological pathologies. Capio Sanidad operates hospitals including: Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Hospital General de Catalunya (the pioneer in medical assistance), and Hospital Sur de Alcorcón.
