The company is engaged in the construction of buildings. Considered as one of the country's main road construction companies, it offers road construction services across Spain, especially in the provinces of Valencia, Catalonia and the region of Madrid. Incorporated in May 1981, the company is based in Madrid, Spain. One of the company's business subsidiaries is Salvador Rus Lopez Construcciones SA (Salvador Rus). Salvador Rus has a turnover of approximately EUR60 million and a staff of 280 employees. It also has six branch offices, nine coating production units and three quarries with an annual production capacity of approximately 1,000,000 tons. Several of its projects include street resurfacing in several districts of Madrid and surrounding towns, and the maintenance of Catalonia's road network. Meanwhile, it is involved in work on the Seville metro system, and is carrying out runway and taxiway strengthening work at the Morón US airbase. It is a subsidiary of Eiffage, the seventh largest construction and concessions group in Europe. Eiffage carries out its activities through its five divisions, comprising Eiffage Construction, Eiffage Concessions, Eiffage Travaux Publics, Forclum and Eiffel. The Group has adopted the strategy of offering the joint construction and operation of concessions, as for the Millau Viaduct, the Norscut motorway in Portugal and the TGV Perpignan-Figueras high speed train link. Eiffage is also known for undertaking very large scale projects like the Belgian LGV high-speed railway line.
