Engineering activities and related technical consultancy
The company, with registered head office located in Madrid, Spain, is engaged in the management, operation, maintenance and technical support of ground satellite tracking stations for the main space agencies. Its activities are divided in two main areas: Ground Stations, which is responsible for the operations and maintenance of satellite tracking and data reception facilities in NASA's (Robledo de Chavela/Madrid), ESA's (Villafranca/Madrid and Cebreros/Ávila) and INTA's (Maspalomas/Gran Canaria) space centres in Spain; and Engineering, which comprise all the phases from definition to customer support after delivery of ground segment systems, satellite communications, and new services based on aerospace systems (in particular risk management systems). The company was created by an Agreement of the Council of Ministers in 1992. The company aims to provide its clients, both public bodies and private companies, the best services in exploitation and operation of satellite tracking stations, engineering and technical consultancy. It is member of Proespacio (Spanish Association of Space Sector Companies) since 2002, as well as of the Centre for Space Law (Centro de Derecho Espacial). In 2004, the company became a member of the Circle for Defence and Security Technologies Foundation.
