The company was established in 1996 and started its operations in 1997. The company operates a fleet of three Airbus A310-300, four Boeing 747-200, two McDonnell Douglas MD-88, and one McDonnell Douglas MD-82. It serves 180 destinations throughout the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean Islands. It operates scheduled services within Europe and holiday flights to North America, South America and the Caribbean. The company also offers a domestic scheduled destinations in Madrid and Málaga; international scheduled destinations in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Lima, London, Montego Bay, New York, Paris, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Rome, Santo Domingo and Shanghai; and charter services which include Madrid to Cancún, Punta Cana and Tenerife. Air Plus Comet's sister company Aerolineas Argentinas operates domestic flight within Argentina and flights to a range of destinations around the world, including New York, Peru and Mexico.
